Zion National Park and La Verkin – Free Dispersed Camping

Free Dispersed Camping Near Zion and La Verkin, Utah

Utah one of my 3 favorite states. There is so much to see and so many dispersed campsites near the Arizona / Utah / Nevada border,  that it would be easy to never leave this area. I’ve stayed at two dispersed camping areas near Zion Canyon. The first was near Kolob Canyon entrance, which was closer to the park and more isolated, but had no cell service. A few years later, I stayed at this camping area just outside of La Verkin. It’s a bit more crowded, but the views are just as good and cell service is perfect so you can work from here. As an added bonus, you’re just outside town so it’s easy to pack up and head in for supplies, a shower, or a beer.
