Author: Eric Nyberg

Born and raised in Chicago, Eric grew up bilingual because his mother only spoke Slovenian when he was young. He has traveled abroad numerous times for family and educational visits – thus far, through 23 states and 9 countries. He is a Sage for the cities and towns of Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., St. Augustine, London, Rome, Salzburg, Ljubljana, Kranj, Bled, Bohinj, and others. Eric graduated from the University of Illinois with a Journalism degree, and honed his writing skills further during law school. He now runs a blog about strange words and their origins. Eric’s great passion is music; he is a singer, pianist, guitarist, and amateur songwriter who feels happiest onstage.
